  2. The sunset is really pretty… but what is a sadhu?

    • Holy man. They hang out at temples, usually, asking alms and performing feats of flexibility for paying tourists. Also smoking weed, which helps suppress the libido (they’re sworn to celibacy) and opens the door to the spiritual world.
      They’re self-selecting; those who hear the call forsake all worldly possessions and wander from place to place. Unfortunately, there are many frauds these days, especially at the larger temples, those who just look and act the part to score change from tourists.
